Craft Beer Chronicles
Iconic Breweries Of The World

Iconic Breweries Of The World

Welcome to our new feature article series, Iconic Breweries Of The World.

Brewery 1: Damm, Barcelona

Brewery 2: Schlenkerla, Germany

And more coming soon..!

Over the next few months, we will be showcasing breweries that are legends, but unlike ones from Greek mythology, they’re actually real and none of them are half-human half-horse. They’ll be profiled in article form here on the site, and some will also have accompanying Instagram Reels (cos that’s what the kids want these days). We’ll be publishing one brewery every month.

While these breweries aren’t necessarily all considered “craft”, our one rule is that they must still be independent. The notion of “iconic” is pretty broad and subjective too; we feature breweries that have inspired others, or created a beer that has become ubiquitous, or represent whole regions. They are all different in size, scale and style, and they span various parts of planet earth.

You’re probably going to disagree, or if you’re feeling generous you might agree and then also disagree, so feel free to sound off to your heart’s content as to which breweries you think are iconic that we aren’t featuring.

Share and enjoy!
